The blaze started in a plant room located in the sub-basement of a commercial building yesterday (October 11).
The London Fire Brigade were called at 3.09pm and the fire was brought under control by 4.46pm.
Eight fire engines and 60 firefighters from Dowgate, Whitechapel, Shoreditch, Euston and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
There were no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
