The Abbey Tap in The Broadway, Stratford has been advertised by owner Stonegate Group as available on a new five-year tenancy agreement.
In the advert it is described as a “very busy fan pub on West Ham home match days and other large events at The London Stadium”.
Stonegate Group wrote: “Superbly located on The Broadway in the heart of Stratford this iconic venue is well known as the place to watch live sports, socialise and party.”

The pub opened in 1999 in place of a former furniture shop and this is the first time it has been available on the tenancy market.
The premises has a multi-zoned open plan trade area which is perfect for creating “both a high energy night-time entertainment vibe yet also a lower key daytime environment”, according to Stonegate Group.

A bar runs across the rear of the venue and is “perfect for busy football fan days”.

The open plan layout accommodates around 100 people across its mix of fixed booths, banquets, high stools, and bar tables with room for dancing and socialising.
The total capacity is around 250 people depending on the layout, according to the advert.
The forecasted turnover per year is £1,035,074 and the guide rent per week is £1,346, it adds.

The premises has the opportunity of a 10am until midnight licence across the week which extends to 1am on Wednesday and to 2am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
A fully fitted trade kitchen not only serves the on-site dining trade but also hosts a ‘dark kitchen’ operation.
On Stonegate Group’s website, the regional manager described this as “a fantastic opportunity for an entrepreneurial operator to make their mark and take on an already great site and develop it into an even more fantastic one, such an opportunity very very rarely comes up”.
