Police were called to High Road, Willesden, on Sunday (October 5) at 5.23am after the incident was reported.
A crime scene remains in place while an investigation is ongoing.
Officers cordoned off Peter Avenue, near to the St Mary Magdalen Church, with police tape stretching up to Donnington Road yesterday.
The suspect is not believed to be known to the victim-survivor, the Metropolitan Police has said.
She continues to receive support from specially trained officers while investigations continue.
The Met has said there will be an increased police presence in the area.
