The London Ambulance Service was called shortly before 9.40am this morning (September 15) with reports of an incident in Pike Lane.
Ambulance crews and an incident response officer were dispatched to the scene, where it was discovered a crash had taken place at the junction of the road with Ockendon Road.
A man was found injured and has been taken to hospital “as a priority”.
His condition has not been confirmed, and it is unclear at this stage if there have been any arrests.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.38am today (15 September) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of the B1421 and Pike Lane, Upminster
“We sent ambulance crews and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We treated a man at the scene and took him to hospital as a priority.”
