The Metropolitan Police was alerted to an incident in York Mews by the London Ambulance Service at 5.24pm today (September 12).
At the scene, a man had been found stabbed.
He has been taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.
A Met spokesperson said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 17.24hrs on Friday, 12 September to reports that a man had been stabbed on York Mews, Ilford.
