Sarah Sturgeon, Tesco Category Buying Manager for Baby Products, says: “We know how overwhelming the early stages of parenting can sometimes be for families, particularly those with babies who are born prematurely.
“That’s why we’re proud to be working with Pampers to make sure parents have access to nappies that are specially designed for their little ones who arrive early. We hope that this little help will make a big difference and relieve some of the stress for parents with new babies that may need extra support.”
These nappies are specifically designed for babies under 1.1lb or 500g and are extra gentle on even the most fragile of skin and fit around medical lines and leads.
One in 13 babies in the UK are born prematurely and have skin that is up to two times thinner than that of a full term baby, which makes it highly sensitive to touch.
Pampers Preemie Protection nappies have been developed with neonatal nurses and parents to be extra gentle on this fragile skin.
Parents and guardians of premature babies may redeem five packs of nappies in each size (15 packs in total per Clubcard).
Sizes available are:
- Size P3 for
- Size P2 for
- Size P1 for
