Essex Police was alerted to the incident at the junction of Pyrles Lane and Rectory Lane at 7.50am on August 27.
A woman in a silver hatchback had been waiting to turn left into Rectory Lane when it is alleged a man in a dark coloured car pulled up at the rear and begun to beep.
The man is reported to have then exited his car before opening the rear driver’s side door of the silver car, where the woman’s child was sitting.

According to Essex Police, the woman was able to pull away from the man but she reported he continued to follow her close behind before pulling alongside her vehicle and shouting at her.
