It’s a new winter experience at the Hampstead Heath mansion and the first outdoor event to be themed around J.M Barrie’s timeless tale.
Running from November 21 until January 3 the grounds of Kenwood will be transformed into an immersive trail inspired by Peter Pan, the Lost Boys and Captain Hook.
There have been previous Christmas trails at Kenwood House but this is the first themed around J.M Barrie’s timeless tale. (Image: Supplied) Visitors will be invited to follow Tinkerbell’s fairy dust path from the rooftops of London to the heart of Neverland — soaring through the Darling family home, past a glowing Big Ben, and into a world of magic and adventure.
From the Lost Boys’ secret hideout to the eerie glowing Skull Rock and Captain Hook’s iconic pirate ship, the Christmas event blends spectacular lighting, immersive storytelling and an atmospheric soundscape to bring Barrie’s beloved story to life.
Barrie bequeathed the copyright of his creation to Great Ormond Street Hospital in 1929 to support its work with sick children.
£1 from every ticket to Neverland at Kenwood will be donated to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
Zoe Bottrell, Managing Director of Culture Creative who creating the new light trail said: “Neverland is a truly magical tale of adventure and perfect for the outdoors.
“We are delighted to be working with GOSH Charity again, after successfully creating Neverland for the inside of Blenheim Palace last year.
“Our creative team excel at making great ideas happen, and this has been a dream project for them to work on, to bring this timeless story to life.”
Head of Partnership Development at GOSH Charity, Chris Carter, said: “Neverland at Kenwood is set to be a magical experience, where people of all ages can immerse themselves in the wonderful world of Neverland this festive season.
“Every ticket bought will mean that Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity can continue to help give seriously ill children the best chance, and childhood, possible.”
Visitors can also enjoy treats from delicious street food and winter warmers to indulgent hot chocolates served along the route.
