Mr Jason Ofori has taken the helm at Chestnut Park, which was rated “outstanding” by Ofsted in its most recent inspection.
The school, which has three classes per year group, has a strong community spirit and teaches pupils to have high expectations.
Mr Ofori has worked his way up from a teaching assistant to a class teacher, principal, trust director of standards, and interim executive headteacher at the outstanding Canary Wharf College Glenworth.
He is also an Ofsted inspector.
Mr Ofori said: “I feel honoured to be joining such a dedicated team at Chestnut Park.
“I’ve been warmly welcomed by staff, pupils, and parents, and I look forward to working together to continue the school’s journey of success.
“My focus will be on continuing to develop the curriculum & teaching and learning to ensure consistently strong outcomes.
“It is my unwavering commitment that every child will receive a first class teaching to prepare them for the next stage of their education.
“All staff will nurture a culture of aspiration, and will ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.”

Mr Ofori’s appointment demonstrates the school’s commitment to maintaining these high standards and securing the best outcomes for all its pupils.
