- 28% of grades at A*–A, an increase of 8% on last year.
- 54% of grades at A*–B, an improvement of 5% compared with 2024.
- 77% of grades at A*–C.
- Seven pupils achieved three A grades or better.
- Two pupils secured places at Oxbridge.
Among the stand-out successes this year are:
Molly Hutton, who will be going to the University of Oxford to study Psychology and Linguistics. Molly said: “I feel so lucky that I have always been encouraged to do my best by all the staff. Even when I didn’t believe I could do it, I was always told I could. I will be sad to leave as the opportunities at Heathcote have been amazing.
- Phoebe Lott, who will study English Literature at the University of Cambridge.
- Gizem Demir, who achieved an incredible three A* and will study Law and Politics at Queen Mary University of London. She is also the first pupil ever to receive a new scholarship for Law at Queen Mary University.
- Reagan Butler, who achieved three A* and one A and will go on to study Industrial Economics at the University of Nottingham.
- Freddie Francis, who achieved triple distinction* in Business and has secured a highly competitive apprenticeship.
- Teddy Goldie, who achieved one A and two A* and will study Medicine at Queen Mary University of London.
Teddy said: “I can now achieve my dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. As a deaf learner, I am grateful for all the support I have received and, given the right tools and opportunities, anyone can succeed and overcome obstacles.”
Headteacher Sonia Close said: “We are absolutely delighted with this year’s A-level results, the best in our school’s history. Our pupils have shown extraordinary resilience, focus, and determination throughout their studies. These achievements are not only the result of their hard work, but also the expertise and care of our dedicated staff, and the support of their families. We could not be prouder.”
This year, pupils have secured places at prestigious universities, including several in the Russell Group, as well as winning competitive apprenticeships and employment opportunities. The breadth of destinations reflects the school’s commitment to preparing young people for success in whichever pathway they choose.
Ms Close added: “These results show what can be achieved when high expectations are matched with the right support. Heathcote pupils know they can aim high and reach those goals. We wish all our Year 13 leavers every success in their next chapter.”
