The news comes after Doechii fans were left “devastated” when the rapper pulled out of the East London festival along with other dates.
Now, Saturday’s female-led festival in Victoria Park has added the visionary British singer, dancer, songwriter and producer.
She rose to fame following her 2014 debut album LP1 and is famed for live shows with breathtaking choreography, immersive visuals and powerful vocals.
The performer, whose collaborations include The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky and Central Cee, is preparing to enter her next era with the release of new album EUSEXA Afterglow – a follow up to her acclaimed album EUSEXUA which came out in January.
During twigs’ recent summer European tour, she teased on stage: “New music – I am full and abundant and ready to give birth. Her name is ‘Afterglow’. And my labour shall commence next month.”
FKA Twigs will be joined on August 23 by Tyla making a London-exclusive performance, plus JADE, Jyoty, Nao, Montell Fish, Cat Burns and many more.
And of course multi BRIT award-winning singer songwriter RAYE’s headline show is among the most hotly anticipated of the summer.
US rapper Doechii gave no reason for cancelling her All Points East date but festival organisers announced in a social media post on Tuesday: “We’re very sorry to announce that Doechii will no longer be performing at her upcoming shows.
“She is an incredible artist, and, like all of her fans, we were hugely excited to see her on stage. We’d like to apologise to any disappointed fans and hope to welcome Doechii to All Points East in the future.”
All Points East continues this weekend with Barry Can’t Swim (Friday 22 August), RAYE (Saturday 23 August) and The Maccabees (Sunday 24 August.)
