Havering Council and Wates Residential hosted the event for Blocks 9 and 10 at the Waterloo and Queen Street site.
It is part of a £1 billion plan to transform 12 council estates over a 12-year period.
The plan has already delivered 197 homes in New Green, Rainham, and 175 homes for over 55s in Park Rise, South Hornchurch.
The proposals for Waterloo and Queen Street aim to provide more than 100 ‘affordable’ homes in two blocks, a new church hall for the community, and landscaped public spaces.
Around 40 residents attended the consultation and expressed positive feedback, according to the council.
Concerns focused on building height, balconies, and landscaping, which the council said the partnership has addressed.
Council leader Ray Morgon said: “The positive feedback from the community reflects the strength of our partnership with Wates and our shared dedication to listening to residents and building spaces that truly meet local needs.
“The first two blocks at Waterloo and Queen Street will provide much-needed housing for local people – a legacy we can all be proud of.”
This consultation was the last stage of resident engagement before the submission of the reserved matters application, expected in September.
Planning consent has also been granted for 18 temporary modular homes for homeless families.
The joint venture aims to complete all remaining phases of the project by around 2031/2.
