The restaurant, in South Street, shut unexpectedly on August 8, with the fast food chain now confirming that the branch is closed permanently.
The reason behind the closure was unclear and the chain declined to comment on why the eatery has shut.

A spokesperson for Burger King told the Recorder that “Burger King UK will not be commenting at this time”.
The South Street restaurant is still marked as “temporarily closed” on Google and as “closed” on the Burger King website.
Other nearby branches include those in Hornchurch Road and Eastern Avenue Retail Park.
