Alcohol could be sold at a Croydon street event if a licensing application is approved.
The South Croydon Business Association has submitted a request to Croydon Council to vary its premises licence.
If approved, the variation would allow the sale of alcohol on August 31, between noon and 8pm for the main event, the Croydon Food & Music Festival.
The application covers South End, from the junction with Aberdeen Road to the junction with Coombe Road.
The festival is free to attend and will feature local bands and musicians, as well as traders from Croydon and beyond.
The event offers a range of family-friendly activities including face painting, making it an ideal outing for all ages and families.
It will once again celebrate the diverse culture of Croydon through its food, live music, and community spirit.
The application can be viewed in person at Access Croydon Reception, Bernard Weatherill House, between 9am and 3.45pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
It is also available online via the council’s website.
The public can submit written representations regarding the application until August 28.
It is a criminal offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with a licensing application.
