The incident between a group of men and women happened in Augustine Road just after 10.20pm yesterday (August 12).
Officers attended the scene and those involved left before the arrival of police.
The man was found stabbed and taken to a local hospital where he died shortly after.
A 33-year-old man from Gravesend was arrested in connection with the incident.
A murder investigation is now underway with cordons in place in Augustine Road.
Detectives are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact them.
