A new study from Barratt Homes has crowned Lewisham’s The Talbot pub as one of London’s “sunniest” beer gardens, coming in at number four with 73.3 per cent of sun coverage after The Albion in Islington.
The list of the top ten sunniest beer gardens was based on metrics like average daily sun coverage and price satisfaction.

Located on Lewisham’s Tyrwhitt Road between Brockley and Lewisham, this traditional Victorian pub dating back to the 1860s underwent a revamp in 2022.
Its interior, featuring both old and new, is a blend of its 19th-century history with wood-panelled walls and an open fireplace, along with modern touches from its revamp like a Brooklyn-inspired bar and upstairs dining area.

The food menu champions seasonal British fare, with pub classics like Sunday roast as well as their smashed burgers.
The pub also has a regular calendar of events, from pub quizzes to live music events on a regular basis.
