The 35-year-old teacher admitted that she re-wrote the pupil’s coursework before submitting it.
The misconduct only came to light when the pupil chose to approach the school principal to confess.
Ms Oliver subsequently resigned from the school where she had been employed for 10 years.
On July 18, the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) held a misconduct panel to determine Ms Oliver’s future in the profession.
The panel said Ms Oliver had acted dishonestly and with a lack of integrity – made worse by the fact that she was one of the Lead Internal Verifiers at the school.
“Ms Oliver placed Pupil A in a very difficult position where they found themselves in June 2023 reporting their teacher’s misconduct to the principal,” the panel said.
It concluded that Ms Oliver should be the subject of an indefinite prohibition order banning her from teaching in England.
The order may be reviewed in two years’ time.
