Emergency services were called to Monson Road in New Cross yesterday (August 2) at around 7:26pm where a man had been stabbed at a home in the area.
Paramedics treated 26-year-old Ayowale Aledejana of South Norwood, Croydon who died at the scene from his injuries.
His family has been informed.
A second person, a 23-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of murder, along with a 23-year-old man who was arrested earlier today.
Both remain in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with Ayowale’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“I understand this incident will be concerning and we are carrying out a fast-paced and thorough investigation to establish the circumstances. I would encourage anyone who has not yet spoken to us.”
