The blaze broke out in Epping Road near Forest Glade at around 12.20pm on July 27
Valerrij Semionov, 29, of Mowbray Close, Epping, was arrested soon afterwards.
Semionov has since been charged with three counts of arson and failing to provide a specimen.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today (July 29).
A spokesperson for Essex Police thanked the public for their support with the investigation.
