The event will celebrate companies and individuals who have significantly contributed to the borough.
Dartford Borough Council organises the awards with core partners, sponsors, and ambassadors from the area.
The awards are free to enter and open to businesses and charities of all sizes within the borough.
The Dartford Business Awards 2025 (Image: Dartford Borough Council) This year, businesses can enter into eight categories: Best Owner-Managed Business, the Dartford Living Customer’s Choice Award, Shop of the Year, Employee of the Year, Young Person of the Year, The Good for the Community Award (for businesses), The Good for Society Award (for charities), and The Bluewater Award.
Entrants and winners will receive benefits such as media promotion and networking opportunities.
To qualify for entry, businesses or charities must have been trading for at least a year by January 1, 2025, and be based in the Dartford Borough Council business rates areas.
Council leader Jeremy Kite MBE said: “After another year of brilliant work from our local companies, I can’t wait to celebrate their achievements at the Dartford Business Awards.
“Their dedication to providing for the people of Dartford is so impressive, and I’m forever grateful.
“It’s going to be a great evening, and with eight awards up for grabs, there’s something for every business or charity, so make sure you submit your applications.”
Councillor Avtar Sandhu MBE, lead member for business, said: “It always amazes me to hear how much the Dartford business community has accomplished in just a year.
“They’ve achieved so much, so it’s only right that we come together to celebrate their efforts.”
Dartford Living and Made in Kent Radio are the official media partners for the event.
The deadline for entries and nominations is September 1.
The awards evening will be held at Bluewater Shopping Centre on October 9.
The current awards are already in full swing for 2024, with finalists set to be announced on September 6, one day after the entry deadline for the 2025 awards.
Winners for the 2024 awards will be announced at an evening ceremony on October 10.
