Applicant EEH Properties Ltd has applied to Brent Council with new plans for the former Mecca Bingo hall in Burnt Oak Broadway.
The Grade II listed building has been out of use since its closure in October 2014.
Prior to its use as a bingo hall, the site was originally opened in 1936 as the Savoy Cinema and was last known as the Essoldo Cinema before its change of use.
According to a report prepared by Rohacs Architects on behalf of EEH Properties, the condition of the building is now “poor and shows inevitable signs of deterioration” as a result of its long-term disuse.
It is not the first major proposal linked to the site.
In June 2022, plans for the hall to be included as part of a part-seven and part-eight storey redevelopment to create co-living and co-working space were approved.
However, new plans are now seeking planning approval for the “restoration and extension of former bingo hall to create a part-7, part-12 storey building”.
If approved, this would comprise of co-working space and 218 purpose-built co-living units with private balconies located in the roof and side extensions.
Rohacs Architects said: “The proposed accommodation is private en-suite studios laid out on two sides of a wide communal corridor where shared kitchens and lounge spaces provide cooking, eating and socialising opportunities.”

A cafe is proposed for both resident and public use on the ground floor.
Planned amenity spaces on the lower floors of the proposed development include a cinema room, gym, library and more.
