The incident happened in Kennington Road, Lambeth just after 2.40am today (July 21).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man who had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as non life threatening.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “On Monday, 21 July police were called to Kennington Road, SE11 at 2.42am following reports of a stabbing.
“Met officers attended the scene alongside paramedics who treated a 46-year-old man for stab wounds before taking him to hospital.
“His injuries have been confirmed to be non-life threatening.
“At this early stage in the investigation, there has been no arrest.
