Around 55% of customers said there was a problem with the website, while 37% and 7% respectively made reports about logging in and tracking.
Most of these Downdetector reports were made in large cities like Manchester, Glasgow, London and Leeds.
Royal Mail website ‘completely down’ as users report issues with logging in and tracking
Royal Mail users have been quick to report problems with the website.
One person said: “Business click and drop down.”
Another penned: “Site completely down (click & drop), RM are down more than Jack Grealish.”
A third wrote: “What a disgrace. They should be ashamed. 12 hours and still down. The app is as bad with almost daily outages.”
One user added: “Down, down, way on doooownnn.”
This comes after a number of outages on the Royal Mail and Post Office websites earlier this month.
What is Downdetector?
Downdetector is an online website that allows users of popular services, including X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, Virgin Media and more, to report if they are having trouble with the services.
The site only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day.
Describing itself on its website, Downdetector is “where people go when services don’t work.”
The website monitors disruptions to various key services, including the internet, web hosting platforms, banks, social media and more.
