The Faltering Fullback in Finsbury Park was featured on Instagram page Historic Pub Crawls, which is dedicated to sharing the best and most unique pubs around the UK.

The local pub made it onto the page for its impressive beer garden, which it described as the best in London.

It’s not the first time the Faltering Fullback earned praise for its garden – it was recently named among the best in London by Time Out.

North London’s The Faltering Fullback featured on a viral Instagram page

Describing the pub, Historic Pub Crawls said: “You’re greeted by a horseshoe bar on entry, with the walls and ceilings adorned with Irish bric-a-brac and memorabilia.”

Adding: “Its location makes it popular with Arsenal fans on matchday, but the ‘Sin Bin’ to the rear screens live sports for all fans, and with its rows of picnic tables and moody red lighting, it creates the perfect cinema room and a rowdy venue for guest musicians.”

The Instagram page went on to discuss the real ‘gem’ of the pub, the beer garden, sharing: “Now about that secret garden that’s hidden away from view because it’s designed like a window Ewok tree house where the different levels of decking create a cosy maze amongst the ivy.”

On the online review website, Tripadvisor, The Faltering Fullback has a rating of 3.8 out of five.

One recent guest to the pub gave it a five-star review, writing: “The atmosphere was electric, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
