Planning applications to Havering Council include new flats

The proposals include new homes, rear extensions, and loft conversions in Romford, Hornchurch and Rainham.

In Hornchurch, a retrospective application was submitted for a single-storey extension at 34 Beverley Gardens (ref: P0885.25), and a care home conversion is proposed for 22 Oaklands Avenue (ref: P0874.25).

A granny annex is also planned at 11 Urban Avenue (refs: P0864.25 & Y0183.25).

Several applications aim to redevelop land for extra housing:

– 1 Stapleford Gardens, Romford (ref: P0706.25) – single-storey rear extension and erection of a two-bed dwelling.

– Land to the rear of 52–54A Faircross Avenue, Romford (ref: P0872.25) – a new detached two-storey house.

– 27–29 North Street, Hornchurch (ref: P0818.25) – a four-storey rear extension to create seven new flats.

Planned loft conversions include:

– 44 Squirrels Heath Road, Romford (ref: P0861.25) – hip-to-gable loft with side dormers and Juliet balcony.

– 25 Slewins Lane, Hornchurch (ref: P0863.25) – loft with rear dormer and new roof profile.

– 32 Wilton Drive, Romford (ref: P0788.25) – second-storey addition and dormer.

Other proposals include:

– Change of use of 59 Crowlands Avenue, Romford (ref: P0772.25) to a HMO for six residents.

– A new build three-bed bungalow in the garden of 7 Argus Close, Romford (ref: P0621.25).

– Raised decking at 40 Lyndhurst Drive, Hornchurch (ref: P0838.25).

– Restoration landscaping revisions at Mardyke Farm Landfill Site, Rainham (ref: P0686.25).

Dozens of homeowners also submitted applications for rear extensions, garage conversions, and window alterations.
