In a list published by The AA the Uk’s top swimming pools have been revealed with Brockwell Lido in South London coming out on top.

The list was complied after AA experts, analysed 164 lidos and outdoor pools picking the best from the amount of times they were searched on Google, tagged on Instagram along with prices and parking availability to find the UK’s best.

The South East topped the list with both Brockwell Lido and Tooting Bec Lido with Brockwell Lido tagged the most on Instagram by visitors.

Coming in on top with a score of 82.97 per cent out of 100, Brockwell Lido was marked out for its “vibrant atmosphere” and “spacious sunbathing lawns.”

Located in Brixton’s Brockwell Park, Brockwell Park first opened in 1937 and has been a staple part of the landscape for decades since.

The Grade II listed lido is distinctive with its art-deco design featuring a tiled changing room and period-style loungers set within the leafy surroundings of the park.

The pool measures 50 metres with plenty of space for sunbathing as well as an on-site café and gym.

Managed by Fusion the lido offers a calendar of fitness sessions and events and is a popular spot to visit in the summer months for those looking for an outdoor swim.

You can opt for a one-off ticket for £9.50 for adults and £6 for children or if you fancy visiting over the summer a Summer Session ticket is priced at £245 giving you unlimited access to swim in the pool.
