It is now almost three weeks into the full closure and the dismantling of the flyover is underway.
Photos have captured the works’ progress, particularly along the A127, where sections of the road have been removed already.

At the other end of the flyover, along Eastern Avenue East, panels have also been removed, as captured in drone images.
Lorries can also be seen transporting the parts away from the junction, while green cranes have been set up on the site since last Thursday (July 3).

Deputy leader of Havering Council Cllr Gillian Ford previously confirmed in a statement on social media that the works are “on track”.

She added that Essex and Suffolk Water works are also underway on the A127, with scaffolding visible along a section of the road.
Initial stages of the flyover works started from May, while the Gallows Corner junction shut completely on June 23.
Transport for London (TfL) called the closure “essential” to avoid “unplanned closures of the flyover in the future”, which they said would be “much more disruptive” for the area.
