She tested positive to having cocaine in her system.
DC Buckley has since resigned from the Met Police but last Thursday, July 3, a misconduct panel concluded that she would be been dismissed had she not already walked.
The panel said: “It is entirely unacceptable for police officers who are responsible for enforcing the law, to break the law by consuming illicit substances, such as cocaine.
“Doing so undermines public trust and confidence in policing, as well as the reputation of the Met Police Service.
“The public could not have confidence in former DC Buckley to protect them or others. Therefore, the only appropriate outcome, had former DC Buckley still been a serving police officer, would have been dismissal without notice.”
