Chingford Mount Road fatal stabbing: Man charged with murder

Tyler Hayward, 26, died at the scene after the knife attack in Chingford Mount Road on Sunday (July 6) at 9.14pm.

Peshman Ahmedi, 22, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder today (July 10) and will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court.

He was arrested on Tuesday (July 8) at the Port of Dover in Kent, as officers carried out “extensive enquiries”.

Chingford Mount Road was cordoned off for three days while investigations took place.

The full statement from Tyler’s family reads: “We are struggling with the tragic loss of Tyler, a beautiful soul with the kindest of hearts.

“A much-loved son, grandson and brother, that will be missed immensely. 

“We would appreciate privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with our loss.”
