Roadworks are underway in Station Road after a fault with a high-voltage electricity cable, which was identified from Monday (July 7).
The works are expected to last until July 15, according to Causeway one.network.
Station Road is one of the streets along the southern diversion route for Gallows Corner, which follows Hall Lane, Station Road, Upminster Road and Rom Valley Way.

UK Power Networks – which maintains electricity networks across London and the south east – has promised to complete the works “as quickly as is safely possible”.
A spokesperson confirmed that a traffic management system has been put in place, but has been “reduced” since Monday.
The spokesperson said: “We would like to apologise for the impact of this essential work in the Station Road area.
“Traffic management has been put in place for the safety of the public while our team repairs a high-voltage cable fault, and this has since been reduced to minimise disruption.
“Permits have been granted by the local authority and work will be completed as quickly as is safely possible.”
