The Orchard Theatre in Dartford has a packed programme this July, offering a wide mix of entertainment – from craft workshops and community fairs to West End performances and cinema sing-alongs.
Here’s a full rundown of what to expect this month.
Craft and Cocktails – Thursday, July 3
Start the month creatively with Craft and Cocktails, where guests can enjoy an evening of guided painting and cocktail sipping.
Led by Nicki from Fancy Faces Entertainment, participants will transform plant pots using paint dot mandala techniques.
The £20 ticket includes all supplies and a welcome cocktail. Ages 18+.
Drag Bingo Hosted by Dee Star – Friday 4 JulyKent drag favourite Dee Star brings five rounds of lively bingo, lip-sync performances and comedy to Star Bingo at Orchard West.
Expect witty banter, big prizes and plenty of fun.
Tickets are £15.
Community Fair – Saturday, July 5
Support local creators at the free monthly Community Fair at Acacia Sports Hall. Running 10am–2pm, visitors can browse stalls offering handmade crafts, pre-loved fashion, sweet treats, wellbeing therapies and more.
Open mic performances and workshops also feature.
Community Cinema: Frozen Sing-A-Long – Sunday, July 6
Families can belt out “Let It Go” at a special sing-along screening of Frozen.
This community cinema experience, supported by Dartford Borough Council, brings Disney’s hit animation to life for just £5 per ticket.
Open Mic Night – Friday, July 11
Hosted by Barry de Jager, this open mic night invites singers, poets, and performers of all kinds to take the stage at Orchard West.
Entry is free and all are welcome to perform or enjoy the atmosphere.
The Big Quiz – Thursday, July 17
Gather your sharpest friends for The Big Quiz, an original event hosted by the theatre’s in-house quiz master.
Tickets are £7.50 and include rounds that rival TV favourites.
An Evening with Anton Stephans – Saturday 19 JulyFormer X Factor star and Dartford Pride host Anton Stephans shares stories from his career and performs alongside West End friends and local talent.
Tickets range from £15–£20.
Community Cinema: The Lion King – Sunday, July 20
Disney’s The Lion King gets the big-screen treatment at another Sunday community screening.
Featuring Donald Glover and Beyoncé, this modern classic is rated PG and tickets are £5.
Taylormania – Thursday, July 24
For Taylor Swift fans, Taylormania delivers a full concert experience with Katy Ellis and her live band. Expect big production, live vocals and a true tribute to the pop icon.
Tickets are £32.50.
Alumn X Pro – Friday, July 25
Returning for its third year, Alumn X Pro offers a full day of CPD for aspiring musical theatre performers.
The programme includes masterclasses, wellness sessions and filmed performances.
Burn The Floor: Dianne & Vito – Friday, July 25
Strictly stars Dianne Buswell and Vito Coppola lead Red Hot and Ready, a spectacular new dance show filled with high-voltage choreography and live music.
Tickets range from £44.50–£109.50.
