The Elephant Hackney, located off Mare Street, is set to open its doors on July 9.
The pub will be offering a menu created by chef Francesco Sarvonio, known for his work at “nose-to-tail” Shoreditch Italian-inspired restaurant Manteca.

Dishes will include regional Italian favourites and British seasonal produce such as frittatina with peas and basil, ox cheek croquettes with anchovy mayo, and rotating specials like ziti Genovese ragù.
Neapolitan pizzas will also feature prominently, with options like the elephant marinara with caper leaves and confit garlic, the margherita sbagliata, and the la squisita with pancetta giovanna and squacquerone.
Dessert offerings will include a house tiramisu, Hackney gelato, and a fried lavender doughnut with Amalfi lemon custard.

It will cast natural light over a dining room decorated with David Shrigley prints, vintage Italian film posters, and a nostalgic Disney Dumbo piece.
The pub will also have a cocktail menu featuring a Climpson & Sons espresso martini, spicy margaritas, a classic gin fizz, and a negroni.
Beers will include a custom Elephant Walk Grolsch, a tap of Peroni, and local brews from Five Points.

The pub’s design will feature a “gallery-like setting” with restored cinema skylight, vintage light fixtures, and a family-friendly policy where kids eat free.
The pub will be open Wednesday to Thursday from 5pm to midnight, and Friday to Sunday from 12pm to 3pm and 5pm to midnight.
The Elephant is the latest venture of Stevie Thomas, co-founder of The Rum Kitchen and managing director of The Jam House in Birmingham, founded by Jools Holland.
