Dartford’s Orchard West and Imagine Theatre have launched open auditions to find the next Princess Jasmine for their upcoming production of Aladdin.

Auditions will take place on Wednesday, July 16. (Image: Orchard West/Imagine Theatre) The winner will join a cast featuring national treasure Linda Robson, comedian Rikki Jay, Jason Marc-Williams, comedy magician and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Mandy Muden, and West End star Cleve September.

Tal Rosen, theatre director at Orchard West, said: “We’re thrilled to open up the opportunity to local talent to take on the iconic role of Jasmine.

“This show is packed with star power, but we know Jasmine is the heart of the story – and we can’t wait to discover the next big star right here in Dartford.”

The successful candidate will earn a paid, contracted role and perform in a full-length professional pantomime in front of thousands this festive season.

Auditions are open to female-identifying individuals aged 19 to 30 who live within 25 miles of Dartford.

Applicants must have strong singing, acting, and stage presence, with vocal and dance ability listed as desirable.

Professional experience is not required.

Auditions will be held at Orchard West on Wednesday, July 16, with registration beginning at 10.30am.

To apply, interested performers should send a CV and headshot to stagedoor@orchardtheatre.co.uk.

The pantomime promises to be a festive highlight, featuring a magical adventure packed with music, comedy, and Christmas spirit.

Aladdin is expected to continue this tradition, offering a blend of family entertainment and seasonal cheer.
