Developer MOAX Ltd submitted a planning application to Havering Council on June 19 seeking to demolish a warehouse and build three single-storey terraced houses in Dymoke Road.
Two of these would have three bedrooms and are intended to house four people while the other would have three bedrooms and house five people.
The warehouse could be demolished (Image: Google) A spokesperson from UPP Architects, the agent for the developer, said: “This is an opportunity to take a neglected and underused plot on Dymoke Road and reimagine it as high-quality housing that complements the local area.”
They added the contemporary homes would draw on the traditional materials and character features used in the area.

The spokesperson said they had consulted with Havering Council, and officers had been “generally supportive”, with “constructive feedback” to enhance the impact on the street scene and neighbouring properties.
Marketing evidence was submitted by Seager & Co. which said there was “limited interest” in the site and they were unable to secure a tenant or buyer willing to maintain industrial use.
A decision is expected to be made on the plans by August 14.
