A Freedom of Information (FOI) request submitted by the Recorder to the council has revealed the amount of money made through parking fees across that time period.
From 2022-2025, Redbridge Council revealed it has made £2,729,124.30 from council-owned car parks.
In the most recent data for the 2024/25 year, it made £1,110,078 through its car parks.
The highest earning car park according to the response was Station Road in Chadwell Heath, which made £210,553.30 in this period alone.

Grove Park in Wanstead was the second highest earning car park with £166,468.40 and Charteris Road in Woodford Green was the third highest with £145,453.15.
Grove Park car park made £166,468.40 in 2024/25 (Image: Google) Cranbrook Road car park in Gants Hill made £136,878.70 whilst High Road (car park 13) in Seven Kings made £115,089.30 and Craven Gardens in Barkingside generated £91,352.10.
Wangey Road in Chadwell Heath earned £73,860.50 whilst only three of the top 10 highest earning car parks generated less than £60,000.
These were Derby Road in South Woodford, High Road (car park 15) in Ilford and Mildmay Road in Ilford with £59,322.05, £56,914.20 and £54,186.30 generated respectively.
In the previous year – 2023/24 – £844,220.85 was generated from council-owned car parks.
This means 2024/25 saw a rise of £265,857.15 in earnings from their car parks.

Station Road remained the top earner in 2023/24 with £174,064.60 whilst Charteris Road and Grove Park generated £118,951.20 and £114,701.60 respectively.
In 2022/23, Redbridge Council made £774,825.45 which is just less than £70,000 below the year that would follow.
In 2022/23, Station Road was pipped as the top earner by Grove Park with £150,330.15.
Station Road, Charteris Road and Cranbrook Road followed in the list generating £120,182.20, £108,254.10 and £104,143.65 respectively.
A Redbridge Council spokesperson said: “Council-owned car parks play an important role in supporting the local community and make our town centres and businesses more accessible.
“However, there are substantial costs associated with operating and maintaining car parks.
“A significant portion of income generated from our car parks is used to cover those costs, with the remainder being invested back into vital services for our community including education, road safety and maintenance, keeping the borough tidy, and housing.
“HMRC also take 20% VAT on all car park payments.”
