The Fixperience Workshops, hosted by climate charity Possible’s Fixing Factory, aim to teach beginners how to repair everyday items such as toasters, remote controls, plugs, and small electronics.

The workshops, which will take place until October, will be held at the Queens’ Crescent Fixing Factory in Kentish Town, Camden, as well as Hackney Fixing Factory in Dispensary Lane.

The organisers say the workshops provide a practical and eco-friendly experience for those interested in gaining repair skills.

They say the skills taught will enable participants to save money by fixing items instead of replacing them and help them to live more sustainably by reducing waste.

Each workshop can accommodate up to six people, and sessions last between one and four hours.

Prices range from £20 to £70 per person, and details on how to book can be found on the Fixing Factory website.

There are different types of workshops that people can choose from, including the Toaster Teardown, which involves learning to fix small appliances, Solder On, which teaches soldering for electronics repair, and Up Close With Your Remote, which allows participants to learn about their TV remote.
