Bexley Council says the full length of Ash Close will be shut from June 9 to allow London Operations Connections, working on behalf of Southern Gas Networks, to carry out the works.

Although the traffic order allows restrictions to remain in place for up to 18 months, the closure is only expected to last around a week.

Access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles throughout the works, with diversion routes signposted locally.

The closure will only be in effect while work is actively taking place and signs are displayed.
