Celebrating dogs in all their adorable glory, the event returns on Sunday, May 25, 10am to 6pm.

The scenic riverside grounds of the historic college promise a day of tail-wagging excitement for pooches and their owners, alike.

Taking on the role of judges, ITV and BBC presenter Jodie McCallum and actor Charity Wakefield will be crowning the top dogs in various distinct categories.

From 10am, pets will compete in categories including ‘Waggiest Tail’, ‘Prettiest Bitch’, ‘Handsome Hound’, ‘Cutest Pup’, ‘Glorious Golden Oldie’ and beginner-friendly ‘Best Trick’.

This year sees the introduction of a fresh theme: the ‘Best Bridgerton Lookalike’ category.

This acknowledges the centennial of on-site filming at the Old Royal Naval College, famous for featuring in the Netflix series where several dog cast members charmed viewers.

For those more comfortable with the unconventional, the ‘Best Unique Feature’ category should provide a platform to show off their extraordinary quirks.

Animals rescued from tough circumstances can take centre stage in the ‘Best Rescue Dog’ segment.

For all the canine competitors strutting their stuff, the ‘Best in Show’ event at 5pm will be a promising culmination.

Across the day, visitors can also engage in a number of stalls supplying doggy needs and services.

Pooches and their humans can take a breather and enjoy the extensive riverside premises or indulge in delightful dog-friendly treats.

Canine-friendly Bridgerton afternoon teas and puppuccinos promise a treat worth tail-wagging for – all to be savoured beneath the colonnades.

Entries for the show can be registered via the Old Royal Naval College website, adding to the anticipation for what promises to be a paw-sitively delightful occasion.
