Newbie, part of the Kappahl Group, is expanding its UK presence, with the Bromley store being one of six new openings planned for 2025.

The new store will open in The Glades shopping centre on Thursday, May 22, at 10am.

It will be the first of six new stores to open in 2025, bringing the total number of UK stores from seven to 13.

The Bromley store will be followed by a store in Windsor and four additional stores in strategic locations across the London area.

The company said this expansion is part of its long-term growth strategy, which focuses on establishing a presence in key markets, meeting increased demand, and creating inspiring in-store experiences.

Thomas Kusoffsky, vice president at Newbie, said: “The British market is exciting and full of potential, and we are eagerly looking forward to continuing our growth journey here.

“Our British customers have given Newbie a very warm reception and they clearly appreciate our focus on timeless design, our nostalgic style, and our PreLoved concept.

“The UK is an important market in our global expansion strategy, as we aim to also establish the Newbie brand in more markets across Europe.”

The company said its success is built on creating an inspiring shopping environment and a firm focus on sustainability, characterised by quality, timeless design, and a nostalgic style.

Newbie offers a complete wardrobe for children aged 0 months to 8 years, featuring hand-drawn patterns and a soft colour palette inspired by nature.

All collections are made of high-quality materials like organic cotton and RWS-certified wool and are designed for longevity, allowing them to be passed down through generations.

In addition to children’s clothing, Newbie offers a Newbie Woman collection, providing matching outfits for mothers and children.

The Newbie Room Collection further diversifies the product range, featuring storage solutions and decorative items that transform children’s spaces into imaginative environments.

The new Bromley store will offer a special 15 per cent discount to customers throughout the opening weekend, from May 22 to May 25, with exclusive goody bags for the first 100 shoppers.

The expansion follows successful store openings in Canary Wharf, Brent Cross, and Guildford in 2024.

The company continues to strengthen its international presence by offering selected products in Sweden, Finland, Poland, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Austria on the e-commerce platform, Zalando.

The company’s growth journey will continue into 2026, with further expansions and strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the brand internationally.

The Bromley store will be located at The Glades shopping centre, High Street, Bromley, BR1 1DN.
