Greenwich Council has launched a survey aimed at those living in buildings over seven storeys or 18 metres high.
The survey will allow tenants and leaseholders to influence the council’s final building safety resident engagement strategy.
Councillor Pat Slattery, cabinet member for housing management, neighbourhoods, and homelessness, said: “Our residents’ safety is our top priority – so is making sure their voices are captured in how we communicate with them about their home or block.
“If you’re a council tenant or leaseholder in a high-rise block, then please take this opportunity to help shape what our final strategy looks like when it’s published later in the year.”
The survey asks residents to provide feedback on the council’s draft aims and objectives, how they can influence building safety decisions, and how the council should communicate important and relevant information about building safety.
Residents can participate by completing the online survey at www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/high-rise-building-safety-survey from Monday, May 12.
The survey will run until Tuesday, June 10 at 5pm.
Residents can also complete a paper copy of the survey, which can be collected from their local library or requested from the building safety team on 020 8921 6139.
In-person survey completion sessions with council officers will be held on Monday, May 12, May 19, and June 2 at The Forum, Trafalgar Road SE10 9EQ, and on Wednesday, May 14 and May 28 at St Mary’s Community Centre, Eltham High Street SE9 1BJ.
An online webinar will be held on Tuesday, May 20 from 6.30pm to 8pm, providing opportunities to meet with staff to discuss the draft strategy and support them in completing the survey.
To take part, residents should call 020 8921 6139 or email fire-safety@royalgreenwich.gov.uk to be sent a link to the webinar.
