What began as a lockdown passion project in 2020 has evolved into a fully-fledged Belgian chocolate bakery with a seriously devoted fanbase—and after visiting for brunch, it’s easy to see why.
Founded by friendly duo Marcin Matykiewicz and Rafal Smaszcz, the bakery has a beautiful backstory and an even better menu.
Friendly service and carefully sourced ingredients set this bakery apart (Image: Holly Brencher) From indulgent brunches to quarter-pound cookies and Great Taste Award-winning brownies, everything here is made with quality, comfort, and a whole lot of joy.
We sat outside on their sunny rear terrace, decorated with vibrant street art by Hunto, and for a moment it felt like we were on holiday.

Their passion really shines through, not only in the menu but in the atmosphere—relaxed, fun and full of flavour.
For brunch, we started with the Burrata Croffle, which came with rocket, spiced guacamole, balsamic glaze and 24-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano.
We added extra bacon, as recommended, and it was absolutely spot on—rich, creamy, slightly tangy, and satisfying without being too heavy.

To drink, we tried two of their matcha specials—the Strawberry Matcha and the White Chocolate Matcha—and both were standout.

No visit to Chocolate Dino Company would be complete without trying the baked goods, and we made sure to come hungry.
We split an Oreo cookie, a Red Velvet cookie, and their award-winning Biscoff Blondie.
Quarter-pound cookies and blondies showcase Belgian chocolate at its best (Image: Holly Brencher) Each cookie is a quarter-pound of gooey perfection, with crisp edges and rich centres packed with Belgian chocolate.
The blondie was everything it promised to be—fudgy, caramelly, and subtly spiced with coffee.
We rounded everything off with a classic iced coffee, brewed using beans from Volcano Coffee Works in Brixton—smooth, strong and refreshing.

And that’s what makes Chocolate Dino Company special.
