Transport for London (TfL) will shut the westbound platform of London’s least used Tube station from next Tuesday (May 6).
The closure will be in place until July 30 while work is carried out on a footbridge.
Trains coming from Woodford will continue to call at the eastbound platform during the works.
TfL has advised customers travelling from Roding Valley to central London to use eastbound trains via Hainault.
Passengers travelling to Woodford have been told to travel one stop eastbound to Chigwell and change for a westbound train.
Woodford station is a 20-minute walk away and Buckhurst Hill station is a 25-minute walk away from Roding Valley station.
The W14 bus also runs once every hour between Woodford, Roding Valley and Buckhurst Hill stations.
Last year, Roding Valley was the least used station on the Tube network, with fewer than 160,000 journeys recorded through its ticket barriers.
