The fire broke out in Wood Street on April 17.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to the scene.
The fire is believed to have been caused accidentally by hot works being carried out on an adjacent part of the mansard roof, London Fire Brigade said.
Firefighters from Walthamstow, Leyton, Woodford, and Leytonstone fire stations were called to the scene and were spotted outside Strawberry Hill restaurant.

No injuries were reported, and the fire was extinguished by crews wearing breathing apparatus.
The brigade received eight 999 calls to the blaze.
