Officers were called to Devonshire Road at 3am on April 27 and an area was closed off near a housing block.
Police tape remained around a crime scene until the next day while an investigation was launched.
The crime scene has since been closed and there have been no arrests – but the investigation continues.
The victim is being supported by specially trained police officers.
A Met spokesperson said: “Officers were made aware of an allegation of rape that took place in Devonshire Road, Bexleyheath on Sunday, 27 April at around 03:00hrs.
“Met officers launched an investigation following the report and a crime scene was put in place following the allegation, this has since closed.
“The victim is currently being supported by specially trained officers.
“At this early stage, there have been no arrests and enquires are on-going.”
