The discovery was made in the Green Street Green area at around 7pm yesterday (April 28).
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family of a 56-year-old woman who was reported missing on April 23 have been informed.
Police enquiries are underway to establish the cause of death in liaison with the coroner.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Officers searching for a missing woman from Longfield have located a body.
“Kent Police attended the Green Street Green area of Dartford at around 7pm on Monday 28 April 2025, where the body of a woman was located.
“Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family of a 56 year old woman who was reported missing on Wednesday 23 April, have been informed.
“Enquiries are currently underway to establish the cause of death in liaison with the coroner.”
