Harpal Singh Roopra was found injured in Ellerman Avenue just before 11.40pm on April 26.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
George Luka, 45, of Ellerman Avenue, Twickenham, was charged on April 28 with murder.
He will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court later this morning.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Met detectives have named a man who died in a stabbing in south-west London as they charge a man with murder.
“Harpal Singh Roopra, 38, died after being found with stab wounds in Ellerman Avenue, Twickenham, at 11.39pm on Saturday, 26 April.
“His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
“George Luka, 45 (28.12.79), of Ellerman Avenue, Twickenham, was charged on Monday, 28 April with murder.
“He will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court later this morning.”
