Our team headed to the Kingsway branch just before Easter to put the new line up to the test—and the overall verdict? A tasty, mostly satisfying update that plays well with seasonal cravings.
I opted for the Firecracker Chicken Wrap, and while it wasn’t quite as spicy as the name suggested, it had a lovely heat that lingered.
The wrap was full of flavour and thankfully not just stuffed with lettuce.
Succulent chicken, zingy drinks, and standout fries steal the show at LEON (Image: NQ staff) The chicken was succulent and tender, and the portion size felt just right—enough to be satisfying without weighing me down.
I paired it with the Raspberry Bubbly Water, which had a pleasant hint of raspberry, although the carbonated water flavour did come through stronger.
One colleague chose the Korean BBQ Pork Rice Box with LEON baked fries, Korean mayo and the new Lime Bubbly Water.
LEON spices up lunchtime with a global twist on fast food favourites (Image: NQ staff) While the pork was beautifully tender and the pickles were a highlight, they were slightly disappointed by the small portion of rice and its slightly dry texture.
That said, the lime water was praised for being zingy and refreshing, especially as a palate cleanser after the heat of the mayo.
Another member of the team went for the Kimchi Fries, and they were a standout hit.
Generously topped with tangy kimchi, Korean mayo, and crispy onions, these loaded fries were packed with punchy flavour and quickly became a favourite.
They also sampled the Yuzu Lemonade, which was sweet, citrusy, and hit the spot for a warm day in the capital.
The Passionfruit & Lemon Iced Tea also went down well.
It was refreshing and not overly sweet—a tropical but balanced option that’s perfect for when London actually feels like spring.
One drink that surprised us was the Watermelon Matcha Iced Tea.
It had a bubble tea vibe and was surprisingly full bodied in flavour.
It’s a definite “buy again” for those who want something fruity with a bit of a health kick.
Less popular, unfortunately, was the Salted Caramel Protein Shake.
One team member found the texture overly thick and the sweetness a bit too much.
While it does deliver on the protein front, it might not be for everyone—especially those not used to protein shakes.
Of course, no LEON review would be complete without a mention of their Halloumi Wrap—still as squeaky, gooey and satisfying as ever, and a perfect match with the spicy Korean mayo.
What stood out across the board was the attention to detail, the friendly service, and how well the Kingsway location handled a large order at the busy lunchtime rush.
Collection was seamless, the space was clean, and staff were warm and efficient—everything you want when grabbing a quick bite on the go.
LEON’s Spring Menu successfully blends their signature wholesome fast food with new influences from East Asia and the Mediterranean.
The result is a fresh and colourful selection that caters to both loyal customers and curious newcomers alike.
Some items really shine—like the kimchi fries, iced teas and Korean BBQ pork—while others could benefit from a slight rethink.
But as a whole, it’s an exciting and energising refresh that shows LEON isn’t afraid to play with flavour.
Whether you’re after a high protein lunch, a light spring sip, or just an excuse to eat more pickles, this menu has something worth trying.
