The three-storey building would be built at 151 Sevenoaks Way, the former site of Olleys Posh Wosh car wash which was recently demolished.
According to a planning application submitted to Bromley Council, the drive-through restaurant would be run by an independent chicken shop-style restaurant.
Car drivers would be able to pull into the takeaway and order their food, or pick up food they had pre-ordered.
Planning documents say that there would be “minimal seating” inside the restaurant itself, as it has been designed for food collection rather than sit-in dining.
They add that it is not expected that there will be any problems with “overspill of queueing vehicles” onto the main road, as the one-way system has “ample capacity to cope with peak drive-through traffic”.
The chicken shop will reportedly have a “simple menu” with a limited number of options that can be prepared through an “easy cooking process”.
“The food will be prepared and boxed within 5 minutes, thus eliminating waiting times,” planning documents claim.
Full details of the proposals can be found on Bromley Council’s planning portal. The local authority is yet to decide on the plans.
