The incident happened at Holborn Underground station in Kingsway at 9.55am yesterday (April 21).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 9.55am yesterday (21 April) to reports of a person hit by a train at Holborn Underground Station, central London.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and member of our Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene and took him by road to a major trauma centre.”
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line near Holborn Underground station at around 10am yesterday (21 April) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, and a person was taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
