Three cars were involved in the collision on A282, just before the QEII Bridge in Purfleet, at around midday yesterday (April 18).
The driver of one of the cars, a silver Mercedes, left the scene before police officers arrived.
The other two cars involved in the crash were a Black Mazda CX-5 and a grey Cupra.
Only one drivers sustained “minor” injuries, Essex Police said, but all three cars were damaged.

Essex Police are urging anyone with information or dash cam footage to get in contact by calling 101 or by submitting a report on the website www.essex.police.uk.
